Isabelle Luterbacher Iyenga

Iyengar Yoga Workshop with Isabelle Luterbacher Sunday 5th May 2024  10am to 4pm  £45 Also on 9th June, 21st July, 11th Aug, 6th Oct and 3rd Nov This is a workshop for those with some yoga experience who would like to deepen their practice and understanding of Iyengar yoga. During the workshop we will explore pranayama (breathing techniques) using different prop supports to encourage openness, followed by asana practice (postures) focussing on techniques to establish greater alignment, depth and understanding of the asanas. Through the asanas we will seek to find better ways to manage the mind. Practicing with conscious awareness and a focus on alignment not only facilitates the sustaining of the posture but holds the practitioner present within the practice. This depth prompts mental focus, self-enquiry and opens the practitioner to the experience of yoga beyond its bountiful health benefits, so it becomes a practical philosophy that can support us in daily life. There will be a break between the morning and afternoon session. Since completing her Yoga Teacher Training in 2003. Isabelle has trained intensively with senior Iyengar teacher Glenn Ceresoli, in London, Switzerland, Italy, Norway and Germany and she has also completed his Level 1 Iyengar Teacher Training in Australia and Level 2 Teacher Training in India. For further information or to book your place contact Isabelle on 07403 374722 email i_luterbacher@hotmail.com or visit www.gaiatreeyoga.com

Kayleigh Image.jpg

Yoga & psychology workshop: Softening self-criticism, a workshop with Kayleigh Darch from BAM Therapy Saturday 14th September 2024 - 2pm to 5pm £35 This integrative workshop includes practices to help us soften the inner critic, boost our compassionate self, and show ourselves the kindness and care we all deserve. An internal narrative is a part of being human – that voice or commentary inside our minds that talks about what we are doing, what we have done, or plan to do. Sometimes this narrative can be motivating and pleasant and at other times the perceptions we have of ourselves and our capabilities is critical, harsh, or judgemental. This self-criticism can become pervasive and create physiological and psychological patterns that keep us caught up in believing that we are "not good enough". In this workshop you will be invited to turn your awareness inwards to learn how to become more aware of the patterns that are less helpful to you. Through this self-awareness, you will be supported to find ways to develop new patterns and self-regulation skills motivated by compassion, understanding and self-kindness. https://www.bamtherapy.co.uk/

Yoga & psychology workshop: Reduce stress & better manage anxiety with Kayleigh Darch from BAM Therapy. Saturday 12th October 2024 - 2pm to 5pm £35 This integrative workshop includes practices to help us move from stressed out, anxious and overwhelmed to functioning healthily, feeling calmer and living life more fully. Stress and anxiety are a part of our human existence – we all go through these experiences at different times in our lives. Sometimes we are able to cope with anxiety relatively well, whereas at other times we might be depleted by it. Anxiety and stress affects our body, mind and breath and over time patterns can develop that keep us trapped in the anxiety spiral. In this workshop you will learn more about anxiety to understand the less helpful patterns that might be present for you, and be offered space to experience skills and techniques that support healthy regulation of anxiety to help you flourish. https://www.bamtherapy.co.uk/
